STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:The Residency Evaluation Work Group (RE) is
responsible for the function of Internal Reviews of all residency programs
of the DAGMEC member institutions. The RE ensures a consistent fact-based
approach to conducting reviews in accordance with procedures and
requirements of the appropriate certifying body. This includes scheduling
reviews, panel membership selection, and oversight of the Internal Review
Panel reports. The RE reports to the Graduate Medical Education Committee
(GMEC), who holds responsibility for oversight and approving Internal
Reviews.
